Toyota Hilux

The Hilux has been in the rumours for a long time in India. Now Toyota is expected to launch the Hilux in India. The pickup segment in India is still developing, but Toyotas entry could be a major boost. Coming to the Hilux, it is based on the Fortuner. It could benefit from the popularity of the Fortuner. It is expected to come with 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre diesel engines. It will also come with 2WD and 4WD options.

Kia has had a good start in the Indian market. But it is looking to continue this momentum by bringing in new cars. It is working on an MPV for India. This MPV will be named the Carens and Kia will be doing the global unveiling of Carens on the 18th of December. The Carens will come with an aggressive exterior design. The interiors will also be premium with a lot of comfort features. It is expected to get engine options from the Seltos. 

Skoda Kodiaq

Skoda had to discontinue the Kodiaq in India due to the BS6 norms. In April, the Kodiaq got a facelift globally.  So now Skoda is bringing this facelifted model to India. The facelift gets some subtle design changes at the front. It will come with a powerful 2.0-litre petrol engine with a seven-speed DSP gearbox. It will also get a 4×4 drive option. This facelifted model will come through the completely built unit (CBU) route in India.

The XC40 recharge is the electric version of the XC40 SUV. It will be Volvo’s first electric car in India. The XC40 comes with a twin-battery setup with a claimed range of 418km. It can do 0-100km/hr in 4.9 seconds. Visually the XC40 recharge is identical to the XC40, it also comes with the same features.
