With SUVs trending in India, the MPV segment seems to be left out. Currently, Maruti rules the segment with cars like Ertiga and XL6. There is no competition for these cars in the MPV segment in India. But Kia Motors has some different plans. They have already set their foot firmly in the sub-four-metre compact SUV and C-SUV segment in India with Sonet and Seltos respectively. They are now bringing the Carens that will rival the Maruti Ertiga and the Maruti XL6. In this article, we will discuss a few reasons why Maruti Ertiga buyers should wait for Kia Carens.

The Kia Carens will carry a imposing design language, boxy body, smaller grille, and LED headlamps setup. The Kia Carens is 4540mm in length, 1800mm in width & 1700mm in height with a wheelbase of 2780mm, and a ground clearance of 195mm. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, on the other hand, is 4395mm in length, 1735mm in width & 1690mm in height with a wheelbase of 2740mm, and a ground clearance of 180mm. The Kia Carens is bigger compared to Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in length, width and height. This means that the Carens would offer more legroom, knee room and headroom in the cabin, which will directly result in better comfort.
