Five noteworthy features of the new A-Class

Mercedes-Benz India recently launched an updated version of the A-Class, which gets a host of new features, gadgets and technology than before.

Let’s take a quick look at some of the striking features in this compact luxury car.

1. LED headlamps

Mercedes has ditched its projector with xenon setup and gone for the LED projector headlights for the A class facelift. These will now come as standard and offer great illumination in both highway and city conditions.

2. Apple CarPlay

Mercedes Benz finally has incorporated the lasted Apple Carplay on the new A Class. This is the first luxury car in India to get this feature; currently only the new Suzuki Baleno offers this feature in their car. This is the fastest and most convenient way to connect your IOS to the car. It seamlessly syncs your phone to the infotainment console of the car for easy access to your phone’s messages, contacts, music and more.

3. Mercedes-Benz Connect

Mercedes-Benz Connect is essentially an software that helps pair your phone to the car and use it as an extension of the car itself. Use the phone for navigation, music and other functions like reading out messages and emails, all at the touch of a button. This would be useful for non-iPhone users as CarPlay will take care of the iOS platform.

4. New sporty colour

Green is not a colour usually associated with Mercedes-Benz, and we were quite apprehensive at first about how it would look. That said, this is one of those colours that really pops when you see it in the flesh for the first time. The new A-Class is also available in white, silver and red which are the most popular colours for this entry level luxury car.

5. Panoramic roof

The panoramic roof was a standard feature only on the petrol powered versions of the earlier A-Class, which disappointed diesel buyers. Now petrol and diesel versions both get the huge panoramic sunroof as part of standard equipment.
