Citroen C3

Citroen knows that most of the buyers go for cars that are placed in the sub-four-metre SUV segment. C3 is their entry ticket for Citroen in this segment. The C3 is set to get signature elements that the brand uses for its cars. Colored accents and Citroen’s signature grille will be prominent in the exteriors of the C3. The interiors of the car are also expected to be premium with comfortable seats. The C3 will be based on the brand’s CMP platform. The car is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 12.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Citroen is expected to launch this car early next year.

Toyota Hilux

Toyota has spotted an opportunity in the lifestyle vehicles segment that has a huge potential of expanding in India. According to rumours, Toyota is expected to launch its double cabin pick-up truck, the Toyota Hilux in January next year. The Hilux comes with rugged looks and 4×4 capabilities. The Hilux is built on the IMV platform, the platform that underpins the Innova and Fortuner as well. The Hilux also shares its engine, gearbox, and four-wheel-drive system with Fortuner. The Toyota Hilux is expected to be priced around Rs. 20 to Rs. 25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki Jimny

Maruti Suzuki is planning to step into the lifestyle vehicle segment by introducing Jimny in India. The Jimny is one of the most anticipated cars that car enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for. The Jimny will get features like touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, automatic climate control, and automatic headlamps. This SUV will compete with Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.

Mustang Mach-e

Ford’s first all-electric crossover coupe-styled SUV, the Mach-e is expected to come to India. The real-wheel drive version of the car is offered with two battery pack options viz. a 68kWh battery pack that has a 340km range and the other 88kWh extended battery pack that has a 483 km range. The Mach-e can do 0-100kmph in less than eight seconds and the top speed is limited to 179kmph. The Mach-e, although being a rear-wheel drive by default can power all its wheels electrically. This car will be imported to India as a CBU.

Tata Sierra EV

Tata showcased the Sierra during the Auto Expo 2020. Tata Sierra has been an iconic product in the portfolio of Tata Motors. The car will come loaded with modern features, similar to Harrier and Safari. The Sierra will also get a four-wheel-drive system. Tata Motors is bringing the Sierra to compete with the Mahindra Thar, but there are also speculations that the Sierra will come as an electric vehicle.
