The Maruti Vitara Brezza is one of the best selling compact SUVs. Though it dominates this segment, the car has gotten a bit outdated as it was launched in 2016. So Maruti is working on a newer generation to continue its domination in this segment. Now we have obtained spy shots of the new generation Brezza in testing. In today’s article, we will see this spied-up new-generation Vitara Brezza.

What has been spied?

new-generation Vitara Brezza

These spy shots were shared by 15october in his Instagram reel. It is easy to figure out this is a Maruti car due to its HR 26 number plate. The car is covered in heavy camouflage, so it is hard to figure out many details. But from the overall silhouette, it looks to continue the tall stance of the current generation. The front of the car gets sharp and sleek looking headlamps. At the rear, it seems to get squared off tail lamps and rear wiper. The alloy wheel design seems similar to the current generation.

What else is expected

The new-generation Vitara Brezza will be based on the Heartect platform like all the newer Maruti cars. Engine-wise, it is expected to come with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the current generation. To improve the efficiency, Maruti may bring a mild hybrid system to the new generation in collaboration with Toyota. Transmission wise also it is expected to get a better automatic gearbox. Maruti is also expected to load the Brezza with features like a bigger touchscreen, wireless connectivity, wireless charging, rear AC vents and much more. Maruti will also look to add safety features like six airbags, ABS + EBD, brake assist, traction control and electronic stability control.

Launch and pricing

There is no official confirmation from Maruti regarding the new-generation Vitara Brezza. But with the spotting of the test mule, it is expected to be launched next year. Pricing wise it is expected to be Rs 50-60k more expensive than the current model.
