The ongoing chip shortage has impacted the sales and the sales figures tell the same story. October sales figures are out and here are the top ten cars that have done really good sales in October. Maruti Suzuki Alto

The Alto remains to be the best-selling car in October. Reliable engines, easy availability of spares, compact size, and affordability makes this car an all-time best-selling car. Maruti Suzuki had sold 12,143 units in September sold and 17,389 units of Alto were in October retaining the number one position in the top ten selling cars.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Baleno is another popular premium hatchback from Maruti Suzuki. The car is doing good sales consistently. In September 8077 units of Baleno were sold and in October 15,573 units were sold. making it the second best-selling car for October.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

Currently, Ertiga remains unchallenged in the MPV segment. The car has no competition and wins without breaking a sweat. In September 11,308 units of Ertiga were sold, whereas in October 12923 units were sold. The increase in sales just shows the popularity of the car in its segment.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR

WagonR is another popular car from Maruti Suzuki that needs no introduction in the hatchback segment. In September 7,632 units of WagonR were sold, whereas in October the sales increased to 12,335 units.

Hyundai Venue

Venue is a sub-compact SUV from Hyundai that is a popular car in its segment. The car is quite consistent when it comes to sales figures. In September Hyundai managed to sell 7,924 units and in October 10,554 units of Venue were sold.

Kia Seltos

Kia Seltos is a compact SUV that is popular for its aggressive design and features. In September Kia sold 9583 units of Seltos whereas in October the sales figures of Seltos were at 14,488 units.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco

Eeco is another car from Maruti Suzuki that enjoys a monopoly in the utility segment. The car has no rivals and manages to pull good sales figures a month on month. In September 7844 units of Eeco were sold. While in October the sales figures were 10,320 units.

Tata Nexon

Tata Nexon continues to make its presence in the top ten selling cars. The car comes with a five-star safety rating at Global NCAP testing. Tata Motors managed to sell 9,211 units of Nexon in September. The sales figures for October were 10,096 units.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

This list is dominated by Maruti Suzuki as Swift makes it to the ninth position in the top ten selling cars. Maruti Suzuki managed to sell 2,520 units in September and in October they secured a position in the top ten list by selling 9,180 units.

Tata Punch

This is a new entry in the top ten best-selling cars. The newly launched Tata Punch has managed to sell 8,453 units in October. This is very impressive for a new entrant to gain such popularity and enter the top ten best-selling cars list.
