Fiat’s upcoming hatchback variant of the Tipo sedan is doing the camouflaged runs currently. With each successive spotting revealing something new about the Tipo hatchback, the spyshots this time reveal further details on the styling cues at the front. Sporting lesser camouflage at the front, the Tip hatchback reveals that the front end styling is inspired by it’s sedan sibling. The rear of the car has been revealed through multiple renders before, but in this instance, things were heavily camouflaged at the back.

We do know however, that the tail-lamps in the Tipo hatchback shall be embellished with a long pair of tail-lamps. Extending over to the sides, there is a chrome strip running across the length of the hatch to tie the lamps up visually. Fiat have given the car’s tail-lamps the concealed treatment, while a discrete spoiler completes the package.

The Fiat Tipo hatchback shares its power-plants with the larger, Tipo sedan sibling. The power-train options across the entire range include two petrol and diesel engines along with three transmissions that includes a six-speed automatic transmission as well. The diesel engines include a 1.3 litre variant with a 87 bhp power output. There is a larger, more powerful version as well, with a 1.

6 litre capacity and putting out 117 bhp of power.

The Tipo hatchback will also get a 1.4 litre FIRE – petrol motor as well as a 1.6 litre E-Torq variant. Transmission options range from five speed manual gearbox on the lower powered variant to six-speed manual transmission along with a six-cog automatic gearbox.

Fiat is scheduled to unveil the Tipo hatchback in full, production glory at the Motor Show in March 2016 that’s to be held in Geneva. The Tipo will be manufactured in Turkey initially, with exports expected only to select markets before.
