The next car from Nissan stables – the Datsun RediGo has been spied yet again and this time it is the front end which is visible, albeit under camouflage. The Datsun RediGo will be the entry level car from Nissan.

The front of the RediGO is identical to the RediGo concept displayed at the last Auto Expo in 2014. The proportions also seem similar to its concept car with less aggressive lines. The headlamps and the grille are same as the concept too. The tail lamps have a ‘jetting-out’ styling.

The RediGO will be a Renault Kwid equivalent and is also based on the same CMF-A platform , which also underpins the Kwid. The CMF-A platform is an all new platform jointly developed by Renault and Nissan and will be used for future products under both these brands. Just like the Kwid, the RediGO too has been designed from scratch and will be made as per Indian tastes and preferences. The car has a tall stance and a high ground clearance, similar to the Kwid.

The Redi-Go will be a modern affordable entry-level hatchback that will be stylish and spacious, though it may not be a feature laden as the Kwid.  The car will have a newly styled interiors, which will be different from the Kwid.

Nissan may not display the Redigo at the Auto Expo, and its launch is slated to be somewhere in the second half of 2016.
