Today, Honda has launched its most affordable touring motorcycle in India. The newly christened Honda CB200x is going to hit showrooms soon. In this article, we discuss the latest offering from Honda – what it offers, pricing and a lot more.

Honda CB200X Price

Currently, the Hornet 2.0 sells for around Rs. 1.57 on-road and the CB200x has been launched at Rs 1,44,500 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike will get a 6 year warranty package from Honda. The Hero Xpulse 200 is the biggest rival for the CB200x which currently sells at Rs 1.45 (on-road). Will Honda CB200x give Hero Xpulse 200 a tough time? We’ll have to wait and watch.

Design and Colors

The CB200x is based on the Hornet 2.0 with more touring capabilities. This new bike gets a tinted taller windscreen, knuckle-guard with integrated turn indicators, raised handlebar and split seats with grab rails, and a seat height of around 810mm. The high seat height could be a concern for short riders, especially when riding this motorcycle on trails and off-roading. Just like the Hornet 2.0, the new CB200x also gets dual-purpose tyres and petal discs brakes on both wheels. The CB200x also borrows fuel tank design, mirrors, led headlamp, tail section, and other small parts from its naked sibling the Hornet 2.0.

The new Honda CB200x is available in three color options – Pearl Nightstar Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic and Sports Red.

Honda CB200x Specifications

The new CB200x also shares the same golden-finished upside-down forks from the Hornet 2.0 which makes the bike look more premium. It gets a mono-shock suspension in the rear. Also, the BS6 compliant 184cc engine seems to be borrowed from the Hornet 2.0 which produces power of 17.03bhp and 16.1Nm of torque and the same five-speed gearbox.  TThe lack of longer suspensions and spoke wheels makes the CB200x more of a touring bike than an adventure bike. The CB500x gets 110mm front wheels & 140mm rear wheels. The Honda CB200x is expected to deliver a decent mileage of around 40km/l. We will have to wait to find out more on the mileage and riding characteristics.
