Honda has not launched any new product as of late in the Indian market. This is set to change in the next few weeks as Honda will be bringing a facelift for its popular compact sedan, the Amaze. The Amaze is a compact sedan that has been quite popular in India. Currently, in its second generation, the Honda Amaze is one of the top-selling models for the brand in India. The Amaze facelift is expected to get a host of exterior and interior changes. In today’s article, we will be seeing changes that are expected on the Honda Amaze facelift that has been teased.

Exterior design

The currently available Honda Amaze already has a great design. With the facelift coming in, a few exterior elements are set to change. The teaser clearly reveals that the front fascia is expected to get an even bolder look. It will get a revised front bumper with slightly altered fog lamp housing and LED headlamps. The rear will also get a redesigned bumper and LED taillamps. Apart from this, chrome strips are expected to be added to the exterior.  A fresh set of alloy wheels are also expected.  

Interior design

The interior will also get some tweaks on the upcoming Honda Amaze facelift. We expect a new dashboard layout and fabric upholstery. Apart from this, a new touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple Carplay support is also expected.

Specifications

The engine and gearbox options are expected to remain the same. The Amaze comes with petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. It is mated with a manual and a CVT gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. It comes with a manual and a CVT gearbox. We do not expect any re-tuning for the currently available engines.

The current Amaze starts from Rs 7.55 lakh and goes to Rs 13.46 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With the new cosmetic changes and features, the price of Amaze is expected to increase by Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000. The Amaze facelift is set to launch on 18th august and pre-bookings have already begun (booking amount – Rs 5000).
