The S-Class wears the ‘best-selling luxury saloon of the world’ crown with pride. A sentiment that is echoed by satisfied customers all over the globe. New of Mercedes’ working on a facelift to their popular best-seller have been doing the rounds since some time now. But we now have the best look at just what changes the German car manufacturer has drafted in.

A total of three Mercedes S-Class cars have been spotted on their testing runs without camouflage in Germany.

The spy video on YouTube, clearly shows that the design changes in typical ‘refresh’ tradition have been kept to a minimum. There’s new headlamps and the grille has been redesigned.

The bumper up front has been tweaked mildly as has been the one at the back.

On the inside, the dashboard too appears to have received some attention, with some key design changes being visible in the video. The digital screens appear to be larger in size than before. Mercedes have also done away with the mechanical switches that used to split the indicators from the central multimedia display in the refresh.

The new S-Class refresh is also expected to sport a new generation of inline-six engines under the hood when it is revealed to the world in 2016. Apart from this, Mercedes is likely to go on an all-out tech loading spree, giving the new S-Class plenty of electronic assistance systems. Chief among these are likely to be the semi-autonomous driving systems as has been previously reported.
