Nissan has discontinued a lot of products from the Indian Market. They have vehicles in their like up that serve the masses, but they do not really define the brand to its core. This was a brand that previously sold cars like the Teana and the X-trail. As of now, they have only the Kicks and the Magnite, 3 cars if we also consider the GT-R too. This article is going to explain to you about 3 Nissan cars that could change the way people look at Nissan in the Indian Market.

MPV

Renault, the sister company of Nissan, has an MPV with its own unique place in the market. Now Nissan could introduce a rebadged Triber. Instead, it should bring an MPV that sits at the Ertiga price or slightly lower. It could be based on the Triber but might offer more space. Nissan used to sell the Evalia which was a premium 8 Seater. It did not doo great in terms of sale as the car was expensive.

Full-size SUV

Now as a company Nissan does not have a flagship product that can be seen on the road occasionally. Yes the Nissan GT-R is a car which is a brilliant product but other than that there is no product in the Rs 30 to 50 lakh range. A full-size SUV that can compete with the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour could be a perfect vehicle to fill this void. This way the company would have an aspirational product to associate their smaller vehicles. The Nissan Terra would make for a good vehicle here but we would also like to see the Nissan X-Trail make its comeback in the Indian market.

Should Nissan Terra come to India?

Pickup Truck

Adding a pickup truck to their lineup might create a first in India. Not many companies are in the pickup truck segment and if Nissan enters first with a product like Navara it might just get the first movers advantage. Also, a lifestyle pickup truck market has been there and placing that as your flagship product will make the company look cool. Other Nissan cars that we think should be brought to Indian include the Nissan Leaf and the Sunny which is still sold abroad. Both these cars do not have a large market but they will stand out in the market if introduced at the right time.
