We had earlier revealed that KTM will be introducing an electronic throttle in its RC series in 2016. The model year 2016 of the KTM RC390 has now been spied and is expected to come with a few other upgrades as well.

The RC390 has been quite successful in the Indian market and has got many biking enthusiasts hooked to itself. The RC390 provides unmatched performance in its class and comes out as an excellent value for money proposition. The 2016 model will get a slipper clutch system (one that is already does duty on the KTM Duke 390), a larger 320 mm front disc, an electronic throttle that replaces thel cable mechanism of the current model, an adjustable front brake and clutch lever, and the all-new aluminum exhaust instead of the underbelly exhaust unit fitted presently. The new exhaust complies with the forthcoming Euro4 emission norms.

The RC390 will continue to have the existing engine and gearbox and there are no changes made to it. The engine is a 373 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel injection unit with DOHC and four valves, that produces 43bhp of power and 35Nm of torque. The same six-speed gearbox also continues.

KTM also has plans to introduce the Adventure 250 sometime in 2016. This will bear the 250cc engine that KTM exports to other countries as RC250. KTM is looking at expanding its portfolio this year and also has plans to get the SuperDuke to India.
