BMW India held an exclusive customer experience event in Goa last week, to showcase their upcoming, new 7 Series, ahead of its official launch at Auto Expo 2016. A curated selection of potential customers were present at the event.

Unveiled at the Motor Show in Frankfurt earlier this year, the new, 2016 BMW 7 Series was a crucial launch for the German manufacturer. The car is a rolling showcase for the direction that BMW would be taking with its products in the future, encompassing the design language, the technological inclusions and brand positioning. The new 7 Series is in many, an evolved version of the sedan on sale currently.

A few new exterior elements have been added for the 2016 model.

The headlamps feature laser guidance while the fog lamps are a LED affair. The entire car is tastefully done up in chrome accents and dual exhaust tips complete the package.

Step inside and you are greeted by the latest iteration on BMW’s iDrive system, which now offers support for gesture controls. There is a revised HUD and the steering wheel is a brand new one.

Customers can spec out their new 7 Series with power adjusted captain seats and there’s a host of ambient lighting options to boot.

BMW shall be introducing the new 7 Series in 730Ld, 740Ld diesel variants along with 740Li and 750Li petrol options. The range topping 760Li is likely to be reintroduced in an extended long wheel base avatar, as an answer to the Maybach S600 from Mercedes-Benz.
