The Mahindra Bolero has see a sharp increase in sales over the past few months. In the month of march it was the best selling Mahindra product with sales doubling and surpassing the XUV300 too. Now what makes this old SUV from Mahindra a good choice and why are people buying one?

Rugged Workhorse

The Bolero is the only sub four meter SUV with a ladder on frame design in our market. It is used in rural conditions, by police and government groups because of its rugged reliability. The ground clearance of the Bolero is more than sufficient for the Indian roads, offered at 180 mm. The Mahindra Bolero comes with the leaf springs at the rear so that it could bear more stress with heavier loads in the rear.

Utilitarian Design

The Bolero wears a squared off look that many old SUVs would be remembered by. The Bolero looks like a car that is there for serious work and looks very handsome. Still used by many and is loved by its users. Many still use this car as a basis of modifications and Mahindra offers quite a few interior  and exterior accessories for this car. People try and improve the stance of the car by adding bigger tyres.

Mahindra Bolero Price and resale

The Bolero is not exactly cheap but when one compares it to its peers in the same price point, there is nothing else like it. The Mahindra Bolero is priced from Rs 9.82 lakhs to Rs 11 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). Also as the cars demand in the used market for its rugged reliability, easy to maintain and cheap/availability of spare parts means that resale on these cars is good.
