Best Modified Gypsy in the world!

Maruti Gypsy has been one of the most loved cars in the country, even though the car has already been out of production for 2 years. The car was not just a rugged-looking machine but also a highly capable one. And this was the reason why even the Indian Army preferred the Gypsy for their engagement with tough terrains. The Maruti Gypsy was called the Suzuki Samurai in foreign markets. Over the years, people have modified their Gypsy’s and Samurai’s in many ways possible, however, today we bring to you a Maruti Gypsy modification unlike any you would have seen before. Let’s go.

What all the modification have been done to this one?

The first thing that catches the eye is that the car has been significantly lowered. With a low centre of gravity, the Samurai let go of its off-roader image and take up the drag strip racer image. A lower centre would actually allow it to go faster by reducing the drag. To the front, a unibrow above the headlights gives it an angry face. Rear seats have been removed in order to give the car a no-nonsense look. The rear tyres installed are way wider when compared to the front tyres. This has been done in order to give this Samurai a good sticky grip on drag strips. Coming to the engine, the regular piston-cylinder setup has been completely replaced with Mazda RX-7’s 13B rotary engine that coupled with a turbocharger. Also, the transmission has been changed in order to match the high power Mazda engine. The car now makes close to 450bhp. Also, this Samurai has been converted to an RWD from a 4X4 since it is a drag focused modification. All in all, this modification has given the Suzuki Samurai a completely new image.
