Tata HBX Spy shot 1

As evident from the spy shots, it can be clearly seen that the rear door handles are placed next to the window, similar to what we get to see on cars like the Maruti Swift. Moreover, the HBX will come with a spoiler with the high-mount stop lamp housed on the spoiler. This particular variant gets black steel wheel caps. Also, the front disc brakes can be clearly seen. Looking closely at the side profile towards the front, we can see that the HBX will not be getting a blind-spot front quarter glass. The rear glass can also be seen sunk inside the frame of the car, giving it a sporty look.

Tata HBX is the next hot product from the Indian brand. With HBX and Hyundai AX1 entering the micro-SUV segment, both cars are sure to give a boost to other brands to create new products for the segment. The upcoming micro-SUV will be based on the Impact 2.0 design language, similar to its other current products. The overall look of the headlights will be inspired by the Harrier and the new Safari, as already evident from the spy shots which had come in earlier.

Upcoming Tata HBX Interiors

The HBX would come with a semi-digital instrument cluster, similar to what the Altroz gets. Moreover, it will sport a D-cut multi-function steering wheel, borrowed from its siblings like the Tiago, Altroz and Nexon. The steering will offer tilt-adjustment as well. The HBX is also expected to get automatic AC with higher trims. It will look similar to its concept showcased during the Auto Expo 2020. Also, the HBX will get power windows even with the lower trims. However, both the 1st-row as well as the 2nd-row seats will not get adjustable headrests, as evident from the earlier spy shots.

Engine & Transmission

The upcoming micro-SUV is expected to be powered by the 1.2-litre petrol engine which we get to see on the Tata Altroz. Tata might bring in a turbo-petrol engine for the HBX in a similar fashion with what was done with the Altroz. The micro-SUV is expected to come with manual and AMT gearbox options.

Features

The HBX is expected to be loaded with features in order to make it on par with the rivals. Connected car tech, inbuilt navigation with turn-by-turn commands and ambient lighting are some of the modern features expected with this product.
