The new XJ is also in the making and so a XJ Coupe. There are even rumours that there will even be a J-PACE as well. However, the other product that is due to be launched in 2019-20 is the new hatchback.

We have confirmed information from our sources that Jaguar is working on its new hatchback and this could get the three-cylinder Ingenium petrol and diesel engines. All the other German competitors already have a hatchback in their fleet and this is one segment that attracts the youth buyers. The British marquee is even working six-cylinder engines that are developed by the company itself and not outsourced from Ford this time.

This new hatchback will also be an aluminium platform, but there is no clarity if it will be a front-wheel drive or rear. Jaguar will even be getting the SVO version of this new hatchback. At the moment, the hatchback is almost developed and now the testing will commence soon. Even Volvo has introduced a couple of hatchbacks and JLR is gearing-up to enter this new segment.
