Maruti Suzuki is also expected to be launched somewhere around this year. The XL5 is expected to be the premium version of Maruti Suzuki WagonR, similar to what we get to see with Ertiga and XL6. The XL5 will be sold under the Nexa dealership. XL5 is expected to come with premium features like LED DRLs and plush interiors.

Baleno Facelift

Maruti’s premium hatchback is gearing up for a facelift launch sometime around this year. Missing features like sunroof and turbo-petrol engine might be on offer with the facelift model. The RS Model might also be brought back with this facelift.

Vitara Brezza, Ciaz, S-Cross and XL6 – Diesel Variants

Maruti last year decided to promote itself as an OEM, using only petrol engines in their products. But, they soon understood that cutting diesel engines from their products has done some damage to their sales. So, Maruti has decided to hold the ‘Calculate Kiya Kya?’ campaign and is gearing up to bring back the diesel engine. So, we soon expect to see the Vitara Brezza, Ciaz, S-Cross and the XL6/Ertiga coming in with diesel engines.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny

The very-famous Gypsy’s modern cousin, Jimny, has been put into production since 20th January of this year at Maruti Suzuki’s Gurugram facility. With Maruti now producing Jimny locally, we expect to see the Jimny selling here, but with changes like a 5-door version rather than a 3-door version, specifically developed for Indian customers.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

Grand Vitara was Maruti’s very first premium SUV for the country. However, Maruti stopped selling the product in the country due to low sales. The primary reason was the price of the Grand Vitara which was close to around Rs 20 Lakhs, which was a huge amount during its service years. But, now we hear that Grand Vitara might be back soon. This time around, pricing should not be an issue we hope.

Swift Facelift

India’s favourite hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Swift, which was bought by 1,60,765 customers last year, making it the top-selling hatchback in the country is expected to come with a facelift sometime this year. The facelift is expected to come with the same engine which the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire gets, a 1.2-Litre K12N DualJet petrol engine.
