Design

The front look of the bike looks heavily inspired from the Honda Unicorn. The Hero Passion Pro BS6 comes with a black visor, 3D Hero badge upfront. The test bike for today comes with the Moon Yellow colour from Hero. You get 18-inch alloy wheels with the bike. The front disc brake in the bike is 130mm.  You also get a drum variant of the bike for a cheaper price.  The side look of the bike is quite angular and has strong straight lines throughout.  The new graphic design throughout the bike offers it a unique look and helps it stand out.  You also get programmed Fi and i3s technology with the bike.

Hero has provided a 10L fuel tank with the new vehicle.  For a commuter bike of its price, the design is quite aggressive and bold and is worth the money. You get a 4-speed gearbox with the Hero Passion Pro BS6. Overall ergonomics of the bike are quite impressive too. The red shock absorbers at the rear of the bike, give it an appealing and sporty look.  The seats of the bike are quite comfortable and great for city driving and occasional long-distance trips.  The seat length for two passengers is more than enough.

You get both analogue and digital instrument cluster with the bike.  All the warning indicators are also quite beautifully placed in the cluster. The MID in the bike has trip information, odometer reading and fuel level of the bike.  All the other equipments on the handlebar of the bike are quite similar to a conventional bike. The horn quality and loudness is decent with the bike.  The exhaust sound of the bike is pretty decent too and improved from before.

Engine and Performance

You get a 113cc fuel-injected engine which produces 9.7PS of maximum power and 9.8Nm of peak torque. For a commuter bike of its segment, the performance figures are pretty decent.  You never feel a lack of power with this bike under the limits. The new FI engine with the bike increases fuel efficiency without hampering the performance of the bike.  The initial pickup and speeds till 70km/hr are impressive. When you push the bike beyond 70km/hr, you feel slight vibrations in the footpegs, handlebar and some other ear of the bike. Multiple downshifts in the four-speed gearbox feel slightly jerky sometimes.  The braking performance is also great. The overall build quality and fit and finish of the bike are very good.  The X-sense technology also improves the practicality of the bike.  The crawl function like the Mahindra Thar is also present in this bike, for a fraction of the cost. Hero claims an average fuel efficiency of 60kmpl and owners have reported the same.
