Which Toyota Does the Urban Cruiser 2020 Remind of?

With the Urban Cruiser 2020 going on sale next month and being an SUV this car is expected to make for a very good festive season car. Let’s take a closer look at its design. This car is not just another rebadged Maruti Vitara Brezza. The company has taken more effort in redesigning the car and had done a better job than they had done with the Glanza.

Toyota Fortuner

The Toyota Fortuner seems to form the face of the Toyota Urban Cruiser. It has the same chrome bold stipes which flow down along the hood of the car. The horizontal slats are more like the new updated version of the Fortuner.

This uncanny resemblance of the Toyota Urban Cruiser 2020 with the Fortuner might play a big role in making this car look grand and premium. It almost makes it look like a baby Fortuner. Not just the grill but also the Toyota Logo and the upswept front skid plate makes it looks bold and muscular. The fog lamp slots of also seem like they have been borrowed inspiration from the Fortuner.

Toyota Corolla Hybrid

Back in 2019 when the Toyota Corolla was spotted as a Hybrid it showcased same wheels as the Urban Cruiser 2020 is sporting now. There seems a size change in the radius of the wheels and it is expected that the new Toyota SUV will have the same wheel size as that of the Maruti Vitara Brezza.

The wheels on the Vitara Brezza are 16-inch alloy wheels were as the one you can see above seem to be bigger than that. They could be 18 or 17-inch wheels. The design, however, remains the same and the wheels have 5 bolting points too.

Brezza Headlights

Although the design at the front has been reworked the Headlights still fit in from the Vitara Brezza. They appear to be a Projector set up along with the LED daytime strip running across.

These headlights do look aggressive with the redesigned front of the Urban Cruiser 2020. Now the wait is for the car to be launched in the market to get more insight on the changes.
