Tata Altroz Turbo Expectations

With the onset of the BS6 emission norms, we have seen petrol engines gain more popularity in our market. But with a petrol engine, you do not get the massive torque you get with a diesel. Most manufacturers are introducing turbo petrol variants in their cars to make up for this. Tata is no different and it is developing its own 1.2-litre turbo engine. This will first be seen in the Tata Altroz hatchback. The car might also get a DCT gearbox along with this. Find out more details about the Tata Altroz turbo and its expected launch date below.

The Tata Altroz is a really important product for Tata that comes in the premium hatchback segment. It gets all the latest bells and whistles that are expected from a premium hatchback along with a distinctive design that is sure to attract people. The car is also the first one to be built on the all-new ALFA platform of the company. It also created hype by being the second car ever that is made in India to get a five-star safety rating. The only negative was that it did not get a turbo engine or an automatic variant and it did not appeal to performance enthusiasts.
