Suzuki has been really passive with their activities in India. They have very slow but steady progress in the two-wheeler market. The bikes they have entered the market was the Gixxer 150 and their recent update was the Gixxer 250. The Gixxer 250 is a power full bike but it does not really keep up with the 300 to 400 cc bikes. This article is about the Suzuki Gixxer 300 which was spotted in a dealership abroad. We will try to figure out if this bike will make it to India and what might be offered on it.
The bike follows the older design language of the Gixxer family. It has a sharp shroud design and the bikini fairing is also bigger. The radiator is housed in the faring. It also has LED headlamps. If this bike comes to India it will follow the current design of the Gixxer. It would be good if the company tries out a different design as there have been a lot of disappointments with customers with the way the 150 and the 250 share the design.
As per the features offered on the Suzuki GSX 300, The bike gets full LED lights. There is a clip-on handlebar on offer, even on the streetfighter version. The bike has a fully digital instrument cluster.
Also has a side-mounted exhaust. The split seat setup gives it a racy appeal. The bike also comes with an alloy wheel and there is USB charging that has been factory fitted.

The Gixxer 300 will have a newly developed 300cc liquid-cooled engine. This engine is expected to produce power around 30 bhp and has a torque of 27 nm. The engine will have a 6-speed gearbox. These specifications are taken from the Haojue 300 engine which is on the GSX-300. The 300cc engine for the Gixxer in India might be tuned to produce more power. Also, the bike will be focused on performance. We can expect an aggressive riding stance and an aggressive engine.
There is no official statement from the company. But it makes for good competition for the KTM Duke 390 and the Dominar 400. If a Suzuki offers a product that is competitively priced in that range than the company might get sales which those bikes lose because of the higher pricing.
