Design

Suzuki Burgman Street is a maxi-scooter, maxi-scooter is a term generally used for the scooters used for touring purposes. Suzuki Burgman Street is the smallest sibling of the already on sale bigger and powerful Suzuki Burgman family which is on sale in the international markets. It gets the bigger fairing and dimensions that match the maxi standards. The scooter in the real sense is the head turner due to its road presence.

On the other hand, Suzuki Access 125 is a simple yet modern looking scooter. The scooter comes with compact dimensions and less fairing. The Access 125 looks inspired from the retro classic scooters so it gets many retro-looking elements such as chrome mirrors, chrome fuel cap, etc.

Suzuki Burgman Street comes with plenty of storage spaces for convenience. The scooter also gets the flexible foot position for the rider which will be very helpful in the long tours. It gets a full LED headlamp unit, LED taillights, integrated engine start-stop switch, USB charging port, a fully digital instrument cluster that displays all the much-needed information. Further enhancing the touring ability, the scooter also gets windshield which is pretty functional.

On the other hand, Suzuki Access 125 comes with basic and urban practical features. It is also offered with full LED headlamp unit, integrated engine start-stop switch, USB charging port.

The scooter has long seat, convenient storage spaces, cubby spaces however the spaces on offer are less than the Burgman Street. The instrument cluster on Access 125 is a semi-digital unit so you can manage your trips as well. It gets external fuel cap which was missing with Suzuki Burgman Street. So in the city commute, it will be very useful.

Specifications

Both the scooter-share same chassis, engine and cycle parts. Both these scooter gets equipped with 124 cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine that produces around 8.6 bhp max power and 10 Nm of peak torque. The engine is tried and tested and is considered as one of the best engines available in the 125 cc segment. Both these scooters sit on the 12-inch front wheel and 10-inch rear wheel. The wheels are alloy type, steel wheels are only optional with Access 125. Braking duty is managed by a disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. These brakes are then assisted by a combined braking system.

Both the scooter shares similar suspension which is telescopic suspension at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear.

Price

The Suzuki Burgman Street costs Rs 80,045 (ex-showroom) while the Suzuki Access 125 costs Rs 68,791-73,380 (ex-showroom). Coming to the conclusion, if your daily commute is more than an hour and you do travel intercities on a daily basis then you should be giving the Suzuki Burgman Street as the first preference. The scooter has a very cushy seat which is quite helpful for long travels. On the other hand, if you do travel in very dense traffics, and intercity travel and tour is very occasional, then we think you should be giving the Suzuki Access 125 the first priority. Nevertheless, both scooters are from the same manufacturer and do offer good value for money.
