Nissan has plans to introduce atlas three new SUVs in the Indian car market, beginning with the first launch next year.

Nissan was due to launch the X-Trail this year, however its plans got pushed further to the next year. The strategy is to introduce multiple new SUVs that will be sharing similar platforms.

So, Nissan’s plan for the next year is to get the Nissan X-Trail and then the Qashqai as well. The Nissan brand will be having two of these crossovers/SUVs launched in 2016 and 2017. The Terrano too with get an update and there will even be an AMT (automated manual transmission) version on the Terrano.

The Nissan X-Trail will be coming to India as a seven-seater, while the Qashqai will be five. The third new product will be the Patrol.

This will be a CBU product (complete import) and this will be more of a brand showcase. The Nissan range of SUVs are well accepted globally and the Terrano also has been doing well. For these reasons, the Japanese automaker has enhanced its focus towards introducing more and more UVs as the demand for them in India is rising.
