Audi TT RS spotted – EXCLUSIVE

Audi is hard at work not just testing all new prototypes but also new versions of the current line-up. And that’s the case with the prototype on these photos, showing the RS version of the all new TT while out testing close to the Nürburgring.  

As we can see the TT RS will get a more aggressive front spoiler , a rear diffusor more looking like the one found on the RS3 as well and of course the two big oval exhaust tips typical to the RS models.  Of course we also find the bigger brakes with drilled rotors and RS logos on the callipers, even if they are painted over on this prototype. Audi has plans to make an entire line-up of the TT-range. The Ingolstadt-based automaker had showcased an array of vehicles on the TT.

So, what will power this TT RS? Will it be the same 2.5 litre five-cylinder found in the RS3? If yes, will it have more power and move closer to the 400 hp? Or will it be a version of the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine that is rumoured for the Golf R400? We guess we will have to wait just some months before we get an answer on that. This is likely to debut next year at the 2-16 Geneva Motor Show in the early part of the year.
