Like all models, the Nissan Sunny is due for its own introduction of the BS6 line-up. The car is a midsize sedan by Nissan and undercuts its rivals in terms of pricing, while also providing more than enough interior space. The car was updated in 2014 and therefore some changes are overdue.
The Nissan Sunny BS6 is also expected to be offered in more colours than now. The Sunny BS6 car is not any way an enthusiast’s car and is perfect for the city and also to seat five people comfortably. The suspension is also on the comfort side and does not translate into a lot of grip for the road.
The Nissan Sunny BS6 will be powered by a 1.5 litre HR 15 petrol producing 98bhp and a 1.5 litre k9k dci diesel producing 85bhp. The power output for both cars are expected to go down although not by a significant amount. Torque figures are expected to remain the same.
The diesel engine could be discontinued if it will end up costing a lot more to produce as the Sunny is already not doing great in terms of its sales.
It will get the same 5 speed manual gearbox and the CVT. Although the CVT is only available in the petrol variant.
From the interiors also it is expected to get a number of changes such as Nissan’s new infotainment system. It could also get all new integrated buttons on the steering wheel that will control the new infotainment features. It is also expected to get some features for the rear seats.
On the feature front, the Sunny BS6 comes equipped with offerings like the intelligent key, push button start, and enhanced safety options including anti-lock braking (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), and brake assist (BA) in all grades with dual front and side airbags.
The pricing of the Sunny BS6 is also expected to go slightly upward but not by a lot so as to not loose out on many of its customers. The Sunny is currently priced from 7.91 lakh for its entry-level variant and 10.98 lakh for the top variant.(ex-showroom Delhi.).
