Hero Xpulse 200T has been quite a while now in Indian market. It has set itself apart from the other cruising bikes due to its attractive pricing. It is the cheapest 200 cc bike you can buy currently in India. The bike is now all set to undergo the BS6 transition and will be hitting the market pretty soon. Here are the changes that are expected to have with the Hero Xpulse 200T BS6.

Engine

Most of the changes are expected to be on the engine itself. It will continue to have same 200 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder unit and will possess the BS6 tweaks on it. The current model does not comes with the fuel-injection system, however, the BS6 model will have an fuel injection as it is mandatory for the BS6. The current model produces around 18.1 bhp max power and 17.1 Nm peak torque. However, the BS6 model will have slight power drop compared with the predecessor. The throttle response however, will be better than the current carburated model. The power delivery will be smooth due to the fuel-injection system.

Hardware of the bike is expected much or less similar to the BS4 variant. The BS4 model gets 17-inch both front and rear alloy wheels. The braking duty will be managed by 276 mm disc at front and 220 mm disc at the rear. The suspension duty will be managed by the telescopic suspension at the front and hydraulic spring mono shock absorbers at the rear.

It gets 100-section tubeless tyre at front and 130-section tubeless tyre at the rear.

Feature

As the Hero Xpulse 200T is already a feature loaded bike. It will be surprising to see if Hero adds any. The current model gets a full-digital instrument console, which has a bluetooth connectivity option. We can then connect the mobile with the console and the display will show the call notifications and also turn by turn navigation. The display also shows various useful things such as service reminder, gear indicator, date, time, average speed and many other useful stuff.

It also gets a chunky and rugged looking grab handles, where you can mount the luggage as well. The upcoming BS6 model is expected with the side stand engine inhibitor as it was seen on the previous Hero BS6 transitioned bikes.

Design /Aesthetics

2019 Hero XPulse 200T side

The Hero Xpulse 200T BS6 is expected to have same body panels as the BS4 counterpart. We hope that it could come with new colour options and updated graphics as these updates were seen on recently launched Glamour BS6 and Passion Pro BS6. The new colour combinations will enhance a fresh appeal over the predecessor. The current model comes with the all LED split headlamp setup, we expect the same will be carried forward.

Price

The price is expected to have a hike of Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 over the current BS4 model. For referance the current BS4 model costs around Rs 96,500(ex-showroom). The possible rival we could think of is Bajaj Avenger 220. It is expected that Hero Xpulse 200T BS6 and Xpulse 200 BS6 could launch at the same time, as both share same engine. The launch is expected to be somewhere around March and April 2020.
