The Tata HBX was showcased by Tata at the Auto expo 2020. The car has got a similar design language to the Harrier, getting sleek headlights that enhance the look of the car. It is a sub-compact SUV that is expected to be under the Tata Nexon in Tata’s chain of cars. The car has been showcased with a very rugged look making it clear of its SUV intentions. It gets massive wheel arches and also huge skid plates on the front adding to its character. The skid plates carry on to the side and the rear door handles are integrated with the rear window such as the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The Tata HBX is said to reminiscent a rhinoceros and  you get a lot of added on Rhinocaur design on the outside as well as on the inside. The rear lights are similar to the Nexon and are uniquely shaped.

On the inside, the dashboard gets a horizontal layout along with a floating touch screen. This layout also reminding the owner of the ruggedness of the car. The Nexon has gotten a fair share of success and Tata seems to capitalize on this as the Nexon also had a commanding stance and therefore Tata wants to launch something that has similar capabilities at a lower price range. It gets dials that are similar to the Altroz and interior wise it might share some elements with the Altroz which is not necessarily a bad thing. You also get a lot of gold-coloured elements on the inside.

This Tata HBX has been showcased at the previous Auto Expo when it was known as the H2X, and this is said to be the near production model. This was a near-production car and therefore there will be some changes to the actual production car. On the pricing front we expect it to be in-between the Tata Nexon and the Tata Altroz.
