Range Rover Sport SVR launched for INR 2.6 crores (on-road) : EXCLUSIVE

Range Rover Sport SVR has been launched quietly by JLR India at a price tag of INR 2.6 crores (on-road, Mumbai) with octroi and the ex-showroom price being INR 2.12 crore. The company has already delivered two Range Rover SVRs in Mumbai itself. The Range Rover Sport SVR is the fastest Land Rover ever and it is powered by a 5.

0-litre V8 supercharged petrol engine that produces about 541bhp of power and 680Nm of peak torque.

This comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This SUV has been tuned by JLR’s SVO (Special Vehicles Operation) division and is the first performance-version SUV from the British marquee.

The Range Rover Sport SVR gets standard features like laminated front door, toughened rear Door and quarter light glass, acoustic laminated windscreen, heated off screen wiper, heated windscreen. The Range Rover Sport SVR gets optional features like Sliding Sunroof panoramic, premium metallic paint, R S Carbon Fibre Engine Cover, Leather steering wheel with carbon vezel, Meridian Signature Reference Audio system with 23 speakers and TV Tuner.

The same Range Rover Sport eight-inch touchscreen comes as a standard and then noble-plated paddle shifts are another new additional feature on the Range Rover Sport SVR. The Range Rover Sport SVR is the company’s first performance SUV and this is a direct competition to the Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG. The Range Rover Sport comes with an optional seven-seater option and JLR is the second automaker to introduce a performance-oriented SUV after Mercedes-Benz.
