The interiors of the Mahindra S101 (XUV100) have been spotted again and this time it is the entry level variant which is seen in the pics.

The neat flowing dashboard has a the three-spoke steering wheel of the new generation Mahindra vehicles, however unlike the earlier seen pics it does not have steering mounted controls. The instrument cluster is similar to the XUV500. The centre console has a manual gear lever housed within. There will also be an AMT variant available There is no music system in the base variant. The rotary knobs remain the same as in the higher variants.

The front grille of the S101 will be similar to the XUV500, retaining Mahindra’s design DNA. This will be a five-seater and it will be offered in two-wheel drive only. There will be three-cylinder 1.2 petrol and diesel engines and the four cylinder ones will be 1.6-litre for both petrol and diesel.

The S101 (XUV100) is clearly targeting first-time car buyers and will be an affordable product for those who need a compact vehicle with high ground clearance. The pricing of the Mahindra S101 (XUV100) will be about INR 5.5-8 lakhs (on-road). It is almost as big as the Swift, however it will have higher ground clearance. The XUV100 will have high ground clearance and powerful and fuel-efficient engines. The XUV100 will see forthcoming competiton from The Maruti Ignis compact crossover car.
