Hyundai Aura Interiors Revealed – EXCLUSIVE

Hyundai Aura was recently unveiled, however its interiors were kept under wraps. One of our subscribers Darvesh Ahuja – shared some images of the Aura. The Aura is a compact sedan, which will be launched on 21st January. This is based on the Grand i10 NIOS and it doesn’t continue with the XCent family name. The interior images that have been shared showcase the similarity to the NIOS.

The key visible differences that can be seen are adjustable headrest, artificial leather upholstery, We do expect some other features on offer as well, like wireless charging, connected car technology, Android Auto and even Apple CarPlay. The Aura has a similar dashboard like the NIOS. There is a dual tone dashboard. The steering wheel gets leather upholstery too. Instrument cluster is basically the same, which a mix of digital and analog. The 7-inch floating touchscreen continues on the Aura, which makes it a great option to consider.

The Aura will come with a 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. This new compact sedan will be launched on 21st of January. As this will be coming in its BS6 avatar. We expect 5-speed manual on all the engines and maybe even 7-speed DCT on the turbo petrol.

Hyundai Aura Competition

This new sedan will go up against the Maruti Suzuki DZire, Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor and even the VW Ameo. The Aura and the XCent will be sold side-by-side. The XCent will be more for the commercial market. The Aura shall offer not just performance but even get the best-in-class features. The Aura is expected to be priced at about Rs 7 lakhs to Rs 10 lakhs (on-road). This will make it a good option to consider for the Indian consumer who is looking at more features.

The Aura doesn’t just offer more features, it will be spacious too. The second row passengers will get an arm-rest, rear AC vents, rear 12V charging and even adjustable headrests (only two of them). This will be a mix of sporty and premium design. The boot space should be about 400 litres. In terms of safety, it shares the Grand i10 NIOS platform and will even come with dual airbags, ABS + EBD + BA. 

This will be the company’s first product that will be launched in 2020. Then we expect Hyundai to get the facelift Tucson, new-generation Creta, Venue with the new BS6 engine and a lot more. There will be a lot happening at the Auto Expo and we will be covering everything in a lot of detail.
