2020 Hyundai i20 Active What to expect?

The 2020 Hyundai i20 Active is going to carry on the same philosophy as earlier, all the space from i20 plus a more room a rear, better boot space and increased ground clearance. In the upcoming car, we will see new headlights, as seen in the pictures – new LED taillights and better-designed bumpers that give the car a more rugged and outdoorsy feel. Also as seen in the spy shots we will see the roof rails and the car proportions increase in width and height a bit. This will all mean a bigger, more impressive looking car that is still going to be under four meters. Hyundai will change the game with the introduction of new interior features like Bluelink on an 8-inch touchscreen, better upholstery, a new instrument cluster and features like electrically adjustable and ventilated seats. Obviously there will be a sunroof, ambient lighting and wireless charging. We have covered more information on this in a video about the upcoming Hyundai i20 which will share a lot of its features with this car.

Engine and price

The upcoming Hyundai i20 and the 2020 Hyundai i20 Active will share the same engine options which will be BS6 compliant. Hyundai is going to give this car a 1.

2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine which will be made available in a detuned state from the upcoming Hyundai Creta. The car will be made available with a five-speed manual and CVT for the petrol gearbox and a six-speed manual with the diesel. Hyundai could also offer the i20 with the 1.0-litre turbocharged unit from the Hyundai Venue to make sure it can compete on the performance end of the market with the Tata Altorz and the Maruti Baleno. Pricing will increase a bit from the current Rs 6.6 lakhs to Rs 9.3 lakhs to Rs 7.3 lakhs to Rs 12 lakhs. It won’t be cheap but then there is nothing really in the segment that can compete with it. There was the Fiat Urban Cross and now that is discontinued.
