With the recent BS6 launch of the smaller Apache Twins, we expect TVS to update their commuter bike. The TVS Radeon BS6 might get BS6 compliance by the end of February. This bike is very frugal, reliable and simple. The bike appeals the consumer base of the Hero Honda Splendor which was a very successful bike in India. With this bike, we don’t get any badges of the TVS Racing but it is not what it is was not built for. The bike is the loyal workhorse from TVS.

The styling of this bike is not overdone but it is still fairly modern. The vehicle gets a dual light set up for the light with LED daytime running light strip over it. The front visor of the vehicle is not very fancy and tall.

The seat is simple and it has a leather finish on it. The tank of the vehicle gets Tank pads near the knee too. The tank of the vehicle is also kept simple and sleek. The wheels of the vehicle are also simple alloys with a not so fancy design. As we have not seen the BS6 model while being tested so we can not predict the changes that we might see on the vehicle. What we expect on that vehicle are some new graphics. The graphics might not be too overpowering.

We might also get a new colour for the vehicle.

A silver and black colour might be the new colour. There won’t be many changes on the exterior now.

TVS Radeon Commuter of the Year Edition

The bike currently has a power plant of  109.7cc. We might see the same engine with slightly increased engine size. This bike might also get Fuel Injection. This will definitely increase the mileage and the power will also increase too. All this depends on how the Fi system is set up by the company. The performance of this bike is good but if we drive it too extreme it does drop the mileage drastically. The bike gets a 4-speed gearbox. The gearbox of the vehicle is tall and it makes it is easy to ride in the city. The bike can be in the city in 3rd or 4th gear. TVS has not shown any signs of the vehicle to get a 5-speed gearbox even though its rival the Bajaj Platina gets a 5-speed gearbox. Now along with this, the vehicle will not get any more changes in terms of mechanicals.

The bike is in competition with the Bajaj Platina 100, Honda CD 110 and the Hero Passion Pro 110. This segment values mileage than anything. The TVS Radeon will make sure that it will keep the mileage as their priority when it reworks it engine for BS6. We have reviewed the TVS Radeon. Do sure to check the video.
