This is the company’s latest offering SUV and the new flagship too. This new SUV had replaced the Superb as the new flagship model. Skoda Kodiaq is a seven-seater SUV and competes with the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour. It is based on the MQB platform, which it shares with the VW Tiguan. Skoda Kodiaq Scout Price

The current price of the Skoda Kodiaq ranges from Rs 35 lakhs to Rs 36 lakhs. The Scout version of the vehicle will be priced at Rs 36 lakhs to Rs 38 lakhs. This extra premium will make the vehicle more purposeful, making it more suitable for the type of customers interested in this segment. The price of the Skoda Kodiaq might also cause some problems as it leads into the segment of premium cars.

The Kodiaq Scout has a wood and grey design theme. Both these colours are natural and have a mature feel to it. The Seats are finished in Alcantara in a variant. The finish of the seats is good which makes the vehicle feel good. There is the scout badging at various places in the vehicle. The glove box gets the badging along with the front windows. The rest of the vehicle is similar to the regular Skoda Kodiaq. 

There are more features on offer than even the Volkswagen Tiguan. It has solid interiors and classy too. The Kodiaq has a large touchscreen system which also incorporates MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This is the same one seen on the Superb and Octavia. More features like an electric tailgate, leather upholstery, ventilated seats and dual exhaust will also be seen on the Kodiaq, thus justifying its premium pricing. 

Skoda vehicles are generally spacious and the new SUV has more than sufficient space in the first two rows. The third-row might is ideal for children. The middle row can be adjusted to increase space in the third row. The interiors shall be black and beige or just black depending on the variant one buys. There will be multiple LED screens offered.

Kodiaq Scout Dimensions

The Scout variant of the vehicle offers a higher ground clearance of 194 mm over the regular Kodiaq. Rest of the dimensions of the vehicle remain the same.

Skoda Kodiaq Scout Exterior

The Kodiaq Scout gets a unique body kit. It comprises of the slightly bulkier bumper which is more aggressive. The skid plates also follow the same trend and are sharper. The sides make use of slightly tweaked body cladding and anthracite-coloured 19-inch alloys. This is furthermore amplified with the grille and the wing mirrors. The rear section of the vehicle will now be decorated with a heavy dose of silver treatment.

Skoda Kodiaq Scout Engine

This vehicle does not get any changes as far as the mechanical features are concerned. It gets a 2.0 L TDI diesel engine which produces a power of 150 bhp. Along with this there is a torque of 340 Nm. The vehicle gets a 7 speed DSG and an all-wheel-drive system. What addition this vehicle gets is the dedicated off-road mode for the drivetrain which improves the off-road prowess. All this is done by altering the engine and the gearbox. The extensive electronics provide not only better control during off-road situation but also better drivability.
