The price of 2020 Toyota Fortuner will increase by 10%. This is the result of the BS6 norms which have resulted in significant changes in the engine. These do not translate into any direct increases in the performance. They will only reduce emissions. Buying a Fortuner before the BS6 norms would be a better option as it will give you a vehicle which is same and costs lesser. The localization levels will increase. It will use to absorb the raw material rising costs. The 2020 petrol Fortuner will have two variants, manual and automatic. The diesel will continue to have five variants, manual 4×2, manual 4×4, automatic 4×2, automatic 4×4. The TRD Sports variant also will be available soon.

There will be no change in the engine lineup of the 2020 Fortuner. The petrol version of the Fortuner will come with a 2.7-litre engine. This will come with a six-speed manual and automatic as well. It is well suited for short drives. The 2.8-litre diesel engine will have a manual and automatic, It will also get 4×4. The engine is powerful and the 4×4 has a low range as well. This is the same engine that also powers the automatic Innova Crysta.

2020 Toyota Fortuner Mileage

These mileage figures have been drawn on the basis of that the car will use the same engines as in 2019. The changes in the engine for making it BS6 compliant will not affect the mileage of the car much.

In terms of fuel-efficiency, there will not be a major change. The petrol engine will return close to 10 km/l in the city, 9 km/l for the automatic. The 2020 Fortuner 2.8 diesel manual has about 11km/l and the automatic returns close to 10.5km/l. There are real driving condition figures and may vary from driver to driver.

2020 Toyota Fortuner Interior

The cabin design will see no change. It will continue to have black interiors. However, the colour of the highlights will change. The leather bits will get a new colour. There will be new seat fabrics seen. The leather upholstery will also be all new. The centre console will see the same AC vents, touchscreen system and climate control also.

The second row of Toyota Fortuner will see the addition of trays on the front seats. The AC vents for the second and third-row will be mounted on the roof. Not much will change in terms of interiors, except for the new upholstery. The updated 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, multi-functional steering wheel with paddle shifters, automatic climate control and electrically adjustable door mirrors with power folding will be offered this time too. A new auto-dimming mirror might be added.

2020 Toyota Fortuner Dimensions

In terms of dimensions, the new 2020 Fortuner will see no change. it will continue to have a length of 4,795mm, a width of 1,855mm and height of 1,835mm. The ground clearance will be 225mm which makes it well suited for extreme off-road. It is quite spacious inside too. The approach angle of the car might change with regard to some changes to the bumpers.

The 2019 Fortuner comes in seven colours options. These same colours are expected to continue in the 2020 model too.
