Fiat Abarth Punto Specifications Leaked

Ahead of its launch on 10th October, the specifications of Abarth Punto have been leaked. The hot hatch will have class-leading performance and will look to woo enthusiasts looking for a fun-to-drive car.

Abarth Punto will be powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine, delivering 145 bhp of power and 212 Nm of torque, making it class-leading, by a big margin. The car is claimed to do 0-100 km/h in 8.8 seconds, thereby being the fastest car in its segment and also faster than several cars from higher segments. It is also claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 16.3 km/l.

The Abarth Punto will be available in two colours only, which are Black and White, with contrast colour mirrors as seen earlier on the Fiat Punto Sport, Abarth branded decals on the side and a scorpion logo on the roof. The car will also sport 16-inch ‘Scorpion Sting’ design alloy wheels.

Other features of the Abarth Punto will include disc brakes on all wheels, Sporty aluminium pedals, an ‘Abarth’ instrument cluster, black upholstery with red and yellow stitching. It will have a track-tuned suspension and the ground clearance lower than the Fiat Punto EVO at 155 mm. Other features like automatic climate control, Blue& Me bluetooth telephony etc., will be carried over from the Punto Evo Emotion variant. The booking for the Abarth Punto have commenced and the car can be booked for an amount of INR 50,000 across Fiat dealerships in the country.
