As the launch of the new Tata Kite is closing in, a lot more production ready version of the Kite has been spotted. The Kite now has been spotted with a new set of alloy wheels by a Team-BHP reader.

The Tata Kite will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and this will be coming with Multi Drive mode like the other Tata petrol vehicles. This engine will also be Revotron. The diesel will be a new 1.05-litre engine that will be a three-cylinder version of the CR4 that powers the Indigo eCS. The Kite will be launched this year and it will be the hatchback that will be coming in first.

The deliveries for this hatchback will start by early next year.

Tata Motors is looking at increasing its portfolio and the Kite hatchback will one of the hatchbacks that will help to increase the numbers. This will be competing with the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Hyundai i10 and the Chevrolet Beat. The Indian automaker has plans to launch the new hatchback this year and the compact sedan version of the Kite will be launched next year. The pricing of the Kite hatchback will be between INR 4.

5-7 lakhs (on-road) and there might even be an AMT (automated manual transmission) on offer too on the diesel version.
