Royal Enfield debuted the biggest and most powerful bike they have ever made at the 2018 EICMA show. The bike is a concept which will be used as a platform for future bikes made by the manufacturer. The bike with its looks and stance pays homage to an old bike which way the most powerful bike ever to be made by RE. The Concept KX shows how Royal Enfield Bobber will shape its products for the future. The bike is a clear signal that Royal Enfield is ready to take on the bigger bikes sold in India by Harley Davidson, Triumph and Indian.

The KX concept is the canvas on which the Royal Enfield Bobber will be built. The concept pays homage to the 1140V Twin bike Royal Enfield had. The concept takes clues and inspiration from the past and blends it well with modern parts and design. The video below will show you the bike from various angles and its hidden details.

Launch

The bike is not a production-ready model. So we won’t ever see it on the roads. The bike will heavily influence design, paint work, specs and other stuff from the future. The bike is a concept vehicle and will not be launched. A Royal Enfield Bobber will eventually come and will retain a lot design language we saw on the bike showed at 2018 EICMA.

Design

The Royal Enfield Bobber is a low slung bike. This shouts bobber in every way. The bike is seen here with a large single-seat, a large tank which is a break from the teardrop design normally seen on RE bikes. The daytime running LEDs look great with the projector headlamps. It also receives a twin exhaust muffler, twin disc brakes on the front wheel, flat handlebar and a long wheelbase. The suspension includes a telescopic front fork and a mono-shock at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is standard. The large twin-cylinder engine is part of the bike’s appeal and looks very cool.

Engine

The engine for the bike is an 834cc, liquid cooled, fuel injected, V Twin engine developed with help from Polaris Industries (Indian Motorcycles). The engine is capable of 90bnp power and around 100Nm torque.
