Tata Motors had announced that it will be launching only two new products every year and for this year the two new products will be the Bolt and the Kite hatchback. There were rumours that this hatchback is likely to be called as Glade, which aren’t true from what we learn.

Tata Motors is considering the new Kite hatchback for this year, as this is one segment that has seen some growth.

The Kite will be placed between the Indica eV2 and the Bolt.

This will be a direct competition to the Hyundai i10, Maruti Suzuki Celerio and the Chevrolet Beat. The Kite will be made available in a 1.

2-litre petrol engine and a 1.05-litre diesel engine.

The Kite will get features like in-dash music system, steering mounted audio controls, voice assistance and even electrically adjustable wing mirrors.

The Kite hatchback’s production name isn’t known and it seems that Tata Motors will be introducing the hatchback first, as the Zest has been doing well in numbers for the company. With the Kite hatch, they will be appealing to a different set of buyers and Tata will be looking at increasing its market share with this petrol engine.

The Zest and Bolt are doing good petrol numbers and the Kite too will multi-drive modes and Revotron engine as well.
