Despite the success of the Tivoli, Ssangyong is still a lot way to go as the company has been going through a lot of hardships lately. There has been an increase in the labour costs in South Korea and the major export markets of the South Korea-based automaker (China and Russia) are going through turmoil. Due to these reasons, Ssangyong has been struggling with its export numbers and profits.

Ssangyong Tivoli has been doing well for the company and now Mahindra is looking at getting more LUVi products for the Europe market.

Both Suzuki and Ssangyong had registered these trademarks.

The Korando was the first LUV for Ssangyong and more are in plans. The demand for compact SUVs in Europe is on the rise and Ssangyong will want to enter other segments too, like the Ford Ecosport and the Renault Duster.

Ssangyong along with Mahindra has been developing six engines in total, three being petrol and three being diesel.

In petrol there will be the 1.2-litre, 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre, while in diesel there will be a 1.2-litre, 1.5-litre and mostly a 1.6-litre diesel engine too.
