New Nissan MPV spotted for the 1st time

A new Nissan MPV has been spotted in southern Europe. The new Nissan MPV will be based on the new-generation Micra platform that will be launched in 2016.

Nissan and Renault are jointly working on a new platform and this will be launched next year.

The new Nissan Micra will not be launched in India, and if it makes it way the design will be heavily modified including the interiors to suit the requirement of Indian car buyers.

The Micra for Europe will be manufactured in Europe and this time around it won’t be exported from India.

The front clearly resembles the Micra and in Europe it will be competing with the Hyundai ix20.

Nissan has no plans to introduce the MPV in India anytime soon, even though it is getting the CMF platform with Renault. The Kwid is based on the CMF-A platform and other SUVs like the Kadjar, X-Trail and Qashqai will follow. These are based on CMF C-D platform and will be launched in India sometime in 2016 and 2017.
