BMW has released more images of the refreshed 3-Series, The car now has a sharper design, though with revised air intakes, LED taillamps and optional full-LED headlamps. Significant changes though, lie under the hood.

The interiors have a more chrome highlights, and customers can now personalize their 3-Series more extensively than before. India is expected to get two petrol and two diesel engines. Apart form the existing engines,  a new 135 bhp three-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit may make it to India and there is also a new 1.5 litre diesel unit that may be launched here. The engines are now sourced from the newly developed, modular BMW Efficient Dynamics engine family and are equipped with the latest BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, which combines exceptional performance with excellent fuel efficiency.

BMW has also upgraded connectivity, where it will now support LTE, which is the fastest mobile standard available. The Professional Navigation system and the extended smartphone connectivity is optional ans customers will have pre-order for the same.The 3-series will also be available with plug-in hybrid variant.

The New 3-series expected to be launched in India by the end of 2016.
