Hyundai Creta price

Hyundai seem to have hit upon a winner in the current model year, riding on the success of their i20, i20 Active and the latest compact SUV – the Creta. The slew of new launches seems to have worked for the Korean car maker with year-on-year sales rising by about 20% to over 40000+ units. Of this, over 18,000 units were sold of the i20, i20 Active & the Creta; and that’s just in the month that’s gone by.

The country’s Number-Two Car Manufacturer has proved to be quite in sync with the aspirational needs of customers and the latter have responded to the products with their cheque books in hand. In-fact, the Creta which managed to sell close to 7,400+ units last month had been making waves even before it had been launched. Dealerships have reported to have received over 15000 bookings – a record of sorts, and this number is still climbing!

We’d reviewed the mini-SUV and you can read all about it here. Size-wise, Hyundai plonked this smart looking SUV bang in the middle of the segment competition, splitting up Ford’s Ecosport at one end and the Renault-Nissan Duster/Terrano at the other. Taking a slightly different approach to the exterior design than the usual brawny looks, the Creta stays true to the Fluidic 2.0 language with its crisp lines. Drawing inspiration from the larger Santa Fe seems to have worked her and Hyundai has kitted the SUV out to its gills.

With demand on the rise, the Creta commands over half of the total sales in the segment. Responding swiftly, Hyundai has begun to ramp up their assembly line, looking to churn out a larger number of cars, in-order to sate the customer requirements. Sources say that Hyundai has upped their production of the Creta by 16% and should see the production run expanding to 7000 units per month.

Good news indeed, for those of you that have plonked your money down for the booking amount or are in the process of narrowing down on this fine SUV. If you ask us, the Diesel Automatic would be the variant to have and as for the colour; well, we’ll leave it for you to decide.
