Nissan has changed its plans to launch the GT-R this year as the company wants to focus on enhancing sales during the festive season. Nissan had plans to launch the GT-R and the X-Trail this year, however as of now the GT-R launch has been pushed to the next year.

Nissan at the moment has the Micra, Sunny and the Terrano as its three major products. The Evalia isn’t performing that well and even the Ashok Leyland Stile has been discontinued due to limited number of sales figures. Nissan will be launching the X-Trail and the GT-R sometime next year, as per our sources.

Nissan is targeting to have 10 percent market share in India, with five coming from Datsun and the other five from Nissan. It has been working on both the fronts and at the same time increasing its touch points too.

The new-generation X-Trail will be making its way into India as a CKD this time and will be coming with three rows of seats.

The Qashqai will be following in as well, as both are based on the same platform. Both these products are doing well in European market and Nissan seems to be confident of their success in India. The X-Trail’s pricing will be around INR 25-30 lakhs (on-road) and the Qashqai should cost INR 18-24 lakhs (on-road) approximately.
