We earlier told you about Ford India’s plan of launching three fresh products in coming six months in the country. It launched the Figo Aspire a couple of days back, while next-gen Figo hatch is all set to be launched around Diwali. New Ford Endeavour, being the third product, would be launched at 2016 Auto Expo in February. However, the updated SUV has already been listed on Ford India’s official website, indicating that it might be launched sooner than expected.

The third-generation Ford Endeavour underpins Ranger pick-up truck’s platform, while comprising of a body-on-frame construction.

It flaunts a new trapezoidal front grille with horizontal slats.

Several sporty elements make their way in the new Endeavour such as projector headlamps, side steps, a roof-mounted rear spoiler, 20″ alloy wheels, etc. to name a few. Moreover, the chrome strip running across the tailgate between the tail lamp clusters further accentuates the premiumness of the SUV. One might get to see a panoramic sunroof in the India-spec model as well. Just so you know, Ford Endeavour is places against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Isuzu MU-7.

The interior cabin is updated as well and looks ages ahead of the ongoing model. The new-gen Endeavour has a restyled dashboard with new centre console. It would also boast a new version of Ford’s SYNC2 infotainment system.

The new Endeavour would come loaded with two engines: a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel and 3.2-litre, 5-cylinder diesel motor. The former would be on offer with rear-wheel-drive system and manual transmission, while the latter would be available with a six-speed automatic only in four-wheel drive configuration. For those asking, Ford’s Terrain Management System would also be introduced to Indian buyers via the Endeavour which consists of four preset settings – normal, snow/gravel/grass, sand and rock.
