Tata Motors has patented the front grille design of the new Kite.

Tata Motors will be launching the new Kite twins this year itself. The Tata Kite will be made available in hatchback and compact sedan and will be priced between INR 4.

5-7.5 lakhs. The Kite twins will be made on the Indica/Indigo platform. However the Indica eV2 and the Indigo eCS will continue to be sold in the Indian car market in the commercial segment and these will be made for private car buyers.

Tata will be introducing the Kite with 1.2-litre petrol engine with multi-drive mode and the diesel will be an all-new 1.05-litre engine, which will be derived from the existing 1.4-litre CR4 engine on the Indica eV2. Tata Motors will be launching the Kite twins this year and it will be around the festive season.

The features on the Kite will be integrated music system with Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio controls, Zest and Bolt-like steering wheel, electrically adjustable mirrors, power windows, ABS and airbags. The other launches for this year from Tata Motors will be the Hexa, which is the company’s new crossover that will be replacing the Aria.

This too has been reworked completely and will be launched as a new brand.
