Ford Figo hatchback snapped before its launch
We were the first to share the images of the Ford Figo’s interior a few months ago, but now another auto portal has got some more images of the new Figo that will be launched in December. The new-generation will be replacing the current Figo and it will be sharing the same platform with the Figo Aspire.
The new Figo will come in new colours and it will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. There might be a 1.5-litre petrol DCT (automatic too). The diesel will be the most powerful in its segment with a 1.5-litre engine that churns out 98bhp of power and 215Nm of maximum torque.
The Figo might miss out on the mobile docking feature that we have seen on the Figo Aspire. The Figo will have grey and black interiors instead of the black and beige seen on the Figo Aspire. The hatchback will not even get a rear arm-rest, as it will tailored for those who generally spend more time behind the wheel.
The current Figo’s biggest USPs have been its space, technology, safety and fuel economy. Ford will be offering the Figo between INT 4.
5-8.5 lakhs (on-road). As the Figo will also be exported from India, it will be a lot easier for the company to price the hatchback aggressively due to increase in quantity.
The Figo will be coming to India this year, mostly by December. Ford will be launching three products in the coming nine months. These include the Figo Aspire, the Figo and the Endeavour.
