The new-generation of the Skoda Superb has been spotted in India by our friends at PowerDrift. The new generation of the Czech-based manufacturer’s flagship model will be launched next year in India.

Skoda had unveiled the new Superb in Prague this year, as a global unveil. Skoda-Superb-side-view

The Superb is based on the Vision C Concept design of Skoda that was showcased a couple of years ago. A lot of the design elements of the Superb has shared with the new VW Passat as they even share a similar platform too. There is the new front grille, daytime running LEDs and even the C-shaped tail lamps. The design looks contemporary and a lot more evolved from the existing design.

The Superb maintains its rear knee room like the previous car. For the Indian car market, it is likely to retain the 1.8-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engines. We could also expect a 2.0-litre petrol as well. But, there will be a petrol manual version as well, as this has a good chunk in sales numbers.

The Superb will be a lot more feature loaded than before as it will have keyless entry, push start and stop, touchscreen infotainment system with reverse parking camera too. The Czech-based manufacturer will be assembling the new Superb in its Aurangabad facility. This is where even the Yeti and Octavias are made.

The Rapid is manufactured in Chakan plant alongside the VW Vento as they are almost identical sedans.
