BMW X5M spotted in India, launch soon
BMW’s X5M has been spotted in one of the Indian dealerships already. The new X5M will be powered by a 4.4-litre petrol engine that will be producing 575bhp of power and 750Nm of peak torque. This engine will come mated to an eight-speed transmission. It will come with xDrive (all-wheel drive system) and this same engine also powers the M5 too.
The 4.4-litre V8 has twin-turbocharger.
The X5M and the X6M will be launched this year in India.
The X6M will also have the same engine and BMW will be introducing the new-generation X6M. The second-generation X6 will be launched on the 23rd of July. The X6 will be powered by a 3.0-litre engine that also powers the X5.
BMW will be the second luxury manufacturer to introduce a high-performance SUV after Mercedes-Benz.
Land Rover and Audi will be following it up soon, as the Range Rover Sport SVR will be coming this year to India. Audi will be getting the SQ7 next year to India. This way all the luxury car makers will enter this very-much niche segment.
